About the Program

The University of Ulsan has invited two Saint Mary's University students to participate in the 2025 International Program (UIP). Tailored for enthusiastic students, this 4-week program explores Korean culture, history, society, business, and language through diverse courses, field trips, and excursions. Who is this program for?

Undergraduate students in good academic standing who will have completed 2 years of Bachelor studies by the end of Winter 2024. This is an interdisciplinary course. Students and working professionals from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Fees and costs

The tuition fee (normally US $1,200) will be waived for invited students.

Registration fee: US $100

Dormitory Fee: US $500

Immigration

It is strongly recommended to start the visa application process as soon as students receive their acceptance letter so to avoid any delay. A (D-2-8) visa is required for your stay in Korea.

Transfer credits

Students may be able to earn credits to the extent that those credits are applicable to the program requirements of your SMU degree. NEOMA Business School, France 2025 Exchange Programs

The NEOMA Business School in France is pleased to offer several summer programs in 2025, including:

International Spring 2025 Course at Justus Liebig University, Giessen

The International Spring Course is held in March immediately before the start of our Summer Semester and offers 3 weeks of instruction in the German language, with a focus on basic grammar, cultural background, text production and communicative skills.

 The special character of the International Spring Course lies in its programme of individual mentoring. Not only does this approach help your students to get acquainted with the University, but it also introduces them to the city of Giessen and everyday life in Giessen as well as its environs. The International Spring Course also organises trips to diverse places all over Germany as well as interactive workshops. At the end of the Spring Course, participants receive a certificate indicating the number of ECTS points (3) obtained.

 The International Spring Course is not only ideal for exchange students of our partner university, but also for all international students who would like to improve their knowledge of German and get to know the university and the city of Giessen.

Mitacs-JSPS Summer Program

As part of the Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA, see here), the Mitacs-JSPS Summer Program, offered in partnership with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), provides opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in Canada to pursue collaborative research in Japan.

 

Call for proposals:

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) (Japan—travel from Canada)

  • Deadline to submit: November 13, 2024

  • Level: PhD students, or postdoctoral fellows

  • Themes: All disciplines

  • Other requirements: Participants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada

  • Eligible institutions: All universities and research institutes in Japan based on JSPS projects

  • Co-funding: No financial contribution is required from the Canadian institution

  • Award amount: $3,000 CAD + 534,000 yen + flight costs
