Help your students succeed with WHO

Writing Help Online (WHO) is an online, interactive writing resource developed here at SMU that uses active learning and scaffolding theories to help students develop academic writing skills.

Faculty members can incorporate writing instruction into their curriculum by adding WHO guides to their courses, or may recommend this free program to students for independent study. Writing Centre & Academic Communications staff can also customize WHO guides with content specific to a discipline or course.

Students at Saint Mary’s University who have not been assigned WHO guides in class can still access this free learning resource on Brightspace, for self-directed study.

For more information on using WHO to support students' academic literacy and communication, visit studio.smu.ca/teaching-who or contact who@smu.ca
